Health Professional Consult on Chronic Illness and Trauma

Health Professional Consult

$300.00

The Health Professional Consult is a 1:1 virtual session on the role of trauma in chronic illness. You can be in any health profession such as a

– psychotherapist or

– psychologist

– social worker

– body worker

– physician

– nurse practitioner

– physician’s assistant

– physical therapist

– occupational therapist

– nutritionist or dietician

– or in any other specialty or field.

In your consult we can discuss any illness; a category of cases or individual cases, which I keep confidential; experiences with the medical system, whether your own or your clients’ or patients’; or bring questions about symptoms you yourself may be having on your journey. For example, we might look at trauma in your clients’ or patients’ relationship to specific chronic illnesses, symptoms, flares, triggers, and treatment. We can include research and other data supporting the role of trauma in disease onset and progression, relevance to a category of illnesses, as well as how healing adversity can be supportive for healing disease given what we know, and why.

Benefits Include:

  • Refine your application of polyvagal theory, such as for “dorsal-vagaling”
  • Explore, make sense of and discuss resources for your own triggers, which are an inherent part of our experience as health professionals
  • Tips for your own health journey from trauma / nervous system perspectives
  • Optimize chances of success with your disability request letters for clients and patients

See my bio for more background and contact me with any questions.

My fee for a 60-minute Health Professional Consult is $300 in your currency, payable in US dollars. If this is not within your financial means or if your payment involves an international exchange rate see my tiered fee structure.

Your Information

In contrast to psychotherapy, which I no longer offer, consults focus on information, context for symptoms, and tips. We will not work directly with physical or emotional symptoms in our consult.

Have we met or interacted before, such as in person or through my blog? Please tell or remind me.

A little about you

To help me orient so we can make the best of our time, please tell me a little about yourself. Describe the reason for your consult, including any chronic illnesses you’d like to discuss. What are the outcomes you desire? If you are a health professional, tell me your profession and specialty area (Psychotherapy? Bodyworker?…). If you are a student, include what you are training or aiming towards. Is there anything else you’d like me to know?

I will contact you by phone or send you a zoom link. You will receive the zoom link again about 30 minutes before your scheduled consult.
